The Texas Catholic Conference Education Department (TCCED) requires that a child must meet the following age requirements for admission:

(PreK3) – 3 years of age on or before September 1st
(PreK4) – 4 years of age on or before September 1st
(Kindergarten) – 5 years of age on or before September 1st
1st Grade – 6 years of age on or before September 1st

Transfers
St. Matthew Catholic School does not routinely accept 8th grade transfer students. At the discretion of the administration, exceptions may be granted.

Vacancies at each grade level are filled by the order of registration within the following groups:

• First priority is given to children with a sibling already attending St. Matthew Catholic School. 

• Applicants for 3rd – 8th grade will no longer be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. The Admissions Committee will review the pool of candidates and make enrollment decisions.
